LAURENT-DESROUSSEAUX Henri Alphonse Louis:
Born July 15, 1862 in Joinville-le-Pont (Val-de-Marne). Died on August 11, 1906 in Valmondois (Seine-et-Oise). 19th century. French. Painter of genre. Son of the painters Adèle Laurent-Desrousseaux and Henri Adolphe Laurent. He was a pupil of Albert Maignan. He took part in the Salon of Paris, obtaining an honorable mention in 1885, a third class medal in 1886, second class in 1894. In 1889, he received a travel grant and a bronze medal at the Universal Exhibition in Paris, and a silver medal in 1900. He sometimes gives a somewhat tearful tone to some of his compositions.
